Location: London (The role will be Site Independent with work being carried out a several depots around the United Kingdom.)

One of our large rail Client currently use IBM Maximo and a specialist rail system “Equinox” to plan and control fleet maintenance work.
We are looking for a Technical Analyst who has experience of Materials Management. Working with a Project Manager the Technical Analyst will write a specification, produce and execute test scripts and support training for this integration project.
The Technical Analyst will attend workshops with Materials controllers, Maximo, Equinox, and Syncron experts to define the requirements for forecasting materials for their fleets of trains in the UK.
Activities
• To define the implementation, testing and training of the business processes that are supported by new applications.
• To work with the materials teams to ensure all system user requirements are captured and understood.
• Capture detailed end-user requirements and assess these for priority.
• Implement and test configuration changes to the system to deliver those requirements.
• Assist with diagnosis and resolution of faults and issues that are not resolved by the first and second line support teams.
• Contribute to defining the material forecasting strategy
• Engage with sponsor and key stakeholders to validate the road-map.
• To work with appointed software development organisations where needed to ensure that new modules or interface middleware are specified, developed and tested.
• Collaboration with the materials department staff to ensure all requirements for the new system is met.
• Actively participate in the programme and drive implementation of improvements from the team.
• Continuously develop cross functional and departmental processes.
• Implementation of safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility
• Understand, implement, and comply with the Client's Rail Systems HSQE policies.
• Communicate health and safety responsibilities to your team and ensure employees raise issues and participate in implementation of agreed changes.
• Fully participate and engage in RL behavioural safety agenda to ensure you and your team work safely.
• Engage with HSQE team to agree targets and priorities to communicate and cascade to team.
• Monitor compliance to meet internal control procedures and take appropriate corrective action.
Essential Qualifications:
• Degree qualified in an IT or software engineering or similar discipline.
• Experience of delivering materials management systems or warehouse applications.
• Ability to manage multiple user requirements on complex systems.
• Good stakeholder and user management skills.
• Good knowledge of IT systems.
• Good communicator, both written and oral.
Desirable:
• Experience of Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo) or Materials Forecasting System (Syncron) in a rolling stock environment.
