Samuel Knight Rail are delighted to be recruiting for a business development lead, with our blue chip client. They are a global brand with an excellent reputation, seeking to expand their client base in the UK and become an industry leader just like they are elsewhere in the world.

Our client are seeking a contractor to help open the door to new customers. In particular, we are seeking a candidate with a good knowledge of train operating companies, network rail & consultancies involved in operating rolling stock.

The successful candidate would negotiate successfully with train operating companies,network rail and other rolling stock sector customers. The sales promotion would be across all of the UK railway market.

The required experience of a candidate would be:

• Working experience within a train operating company or Network Rail enviornment.
• An excellent network of train operating company contacts, network rail contacts & vast experience across the UK rail industry
• Understanding of train planning basic market demand & challenges.

Our client are seeking a candidate to begin work as a contractor in late March /early April, however we are keen to secure the candidate ASAP. As such we welcome applications immediately.
