Due to an increase in projects and the expansion of the company venturing into a new division of the Rail industry, I am looking for a driven candidate who has a great attention to detail, with strong interpersonal skills and a proficiency in Excel. The opportunity to work in one of the largest and most successful Railway businesses in the UK and become a fundamental player in their massive £350m turnover. Location (s): The position is based specifically on site in Doncaster

Role and Responsibilities:

• Selection of suppliers and negotiation of prices within post Holder's level of delegated authority to commit.
• Negotiation of appropriate Conditions of Purchase & extended payment terms.
• Ordering of material requirements in line with bills of materials and requisitions.
• Creation and maintenance of performance data for Key Suppliers.
• Delivery of purchasing savings in line with Company Objectives.
• Compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and any other relevant legislation or standard.
• Perform any other duties as appropriate within post Holder's skills and competencies.

Essentials

• Experience/ Knowledge of sheet metal products and processes
• At least 5 years experience in Buying/Procurement.
• Attention to detail.
• Autonomous working ability.
• Works well under pressure.
• Can work with Spreadsheets in Excel.
• Strong English speaker.

Desirable

• Experience of SAP system Oracle
• Ability to read Engineering drawings would be advantageous.
