Junior Buyer
Location: Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire

Due to the growth of the business BPH Rail are expanding and looking for a Junior Buyer to support the wider team.

The position will be based at the company HQ at Sawbridgeworth. Monday – Friday.
Within the role you will be expected to identify cost saving opportunities, maintain and build supplier relationships, manage supplier performance and provide procurement input into the Senior Management Team.

To continually get the best price for the required materials / plant, support procurement process by dealing with the raising of Purchase Orders and ensuring that certificates of conformity / declaration of performance etc are sent when items are ordered.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

• Computer skills and some knowledge of technical and commercial terms.
• Some knowledge of construction materials and plant

Knowledge and skills

• Ability to work under pressure and at all organisational level(s) both internally and externally
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good administration and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent English – spoken and written
• Professional approach with the highest degree of integrity
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Possess a positive attitude and personal ambition
