The role will include providing procurement for an Assembly Hub in South East Wales. The role will be based in South East Wales but during initial training period (approx. 3 to 6 months) the training will be conducted in one of Spain manufacturing sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project oriented, supports the Equipment Purchasing Manager (HQ-Spain) so that project implementation is completed in a timely manner against the project delivery dates.
- Maintains and develops relationships with supply base, monitoring that all contractual requirements are met.
- Working in conjunction with Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing acts as interface between the Project Team and all external suppliers for the Project.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Proven Project-purchasing Planning / Supplier Relationship Management experience (minimum of 2 years’) in an engineering/manufacturing environment. Preferable in railway industry.
- CIPS qualified.
- Availability for travelling within the UK and the other European offices (mainly Spain HQ) .
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to independently problem solve and make decisions.
