Job title: Project Buyer
Job location: North West London
Hourly rate: £25.00 per hour LTD
The main responsibility of this role is to support the compliance with all contractual requirements and assist with the identification, communication and negotiation of all contract related issues with suppliers, including variations and claims management.
Other responsibilities include monitoring and controlling material management, handle obligations on the customer's site(s) in order to create a smooth and traceable flow of material & delivery information. He/she will also secure the environment for material control and will collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure materials are consistently available to the customer when requested.
YOUR TASKS
*Set and monitor material stock levels and ensure adequate action is taken in terms of material replenishment as per IMT and MRP requirements
*Regularly review inventory levels and identify opportunities for removing / reducing the level of obsolete / excess stock
*Collaborate with setting the system reorder points to ensure part supply service levels are achieved
*Lead the application of the contractual obligation management process, including contract administration and claims management processes
*Identify and implement delivery performance improvements in conjunction with suppliers
*Work closely with suppliers to ensure that they fulfil commercial agreements and provide expected deliverables
*Place orders on suppliers where contracts are in place.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
*Degree or Commercial/Administration studies or equivalent through experience
*Proven Contract Management and contractual obligation management experience
*Proven experience and track record in a similar position will be a strong advantage
*Experienced in using computerised business tools (i.e. SAP, MS Office)
*Effective communicator with internal and external functions and customer facing
*Strong communications skills and good commercial acumen
