Ford & Stanley Interim- The Recruitment Experts are seeking a Project Buyer to work for one of the UK's most interesting engineering services business who offers contractors long term security across multiple clients and industries.

Location: Derby
Contract Length: 6-12 months
Responsibilities
- You will be the key interface between the Commodity Buyers and the internal functions on the project. They are a key support for the project by maintaining the Procurement functional interface between the Project Core Team, Commodity Buyers and the Supply Chain, reporting directly to the Project Procurement Manager.
- Support the Project Procurement Manager in managing all necessary information & deliverables from the Core Functions and from Commodity Buyers
Essentials
- Support the Commodity Buyer in obtaining all necessary deliverables from the Core Functions
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure project success by representing Procurement at meetings
- Interface between the Project Core Team and Procurement Team
- Lead the Procurement activities within the Change Management Process
- Carried out a similar position within a Manufacturing environment
- University degree or equivalent through experience
- Sourcing and procurement planning experience
- Very good contracting, legal & compliance knowledge
- Supplier performance and improvement management experience
- Computer literate- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good business partnering skills
- Demonstrated diplomacy in stakeholder management
