Inventory - temp to perm or contract options, based in Derby, £neg dependant upon relevant exp circa £ <phone number removed> , circa £18hr Ltd - to start asap
Working with one of the region's largest employers who are now embarking on the busiest and most successful periods in their long history. You will help deliver some of the most technically advanced vehicles of their type, all designed developed and manufactured in Derby.
The roles cover the full scope of Procurement activity from the development of strategies to the operational delivery and management of contracts. Working closely with the Global Supply Chain team to understand business requirements across the globe and the impact this has within their suppliers and the Contracts they are managing. As part of material bids process, implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, place orders with suppliers and manage commercial relationships with suppliers.
YOUR TASKS:
Whatever your skills are they would be utilised to ensure that the supply chain functions effectively to ensure that projects / manufacturing build programmes are delivered on time, to the required standards of quality and safety and that cost measures and saving are achieved in line with the demands of the business and its customers. That internal processes and procedures are followed at all times and that work is managed in accordance with all governance and industry standards expected of a truly global organisation.
Manage material cost reduction activities
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a previous role, within the manufacturing industry
- Sourcing and procurement planning
- Excellent negotiating / influencing skills
- Supplier performance and improvement management experience
- Computer literate: MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Good business partnering skills
- Strong analytical skills and financially numerate
