Architectural CAD Technician

£35,000 - £40,000 pa plus benefits

You will need:

•To be AutoCAD literate and have an understanding of the construction process and the provision of house type working drawings that meet the requirements of the Building Regulations/NHBC standards

•To be familiar with site development matters and the influence that good design has on housing projects.

•To have a CIOB qualification in Building Design or a related HNC/HND.

•To understand technical detailing at all levels of housing design

•To have experience in working for a house-builder or consultancy providing services to a house-builder.

•To have a good knowledge of house building and the consultation process and be fully conversant with the Building Regulations and other associated legislation.

•To be aware of emerging and changing legislation and be able to work alone and as part of the technical team.

•To have excellent communication and presentation skills, be self-motivated, have design flare and creativity.

Job role

•You will provide architectural design services and solutions on individual projects, presenting proposals and working drawings using AutoCAD.

•Provide support in the planning and warrants process, including liaison with local authorities

•Providing appropriate drawings and details to the commercial team to assist the procurement process.

•Providing CAD drawings and details to Production teams for use on site

•Provide appropriate drawings and details for use by the Sales Team for brochure production and on-site usage.

•To assist Site Managers by addressing and answering development queries.
