£35000 - £50000 per annum |
Permanent
Role: Architectural Technician
Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (DoE)
Type: Permanent
I am looking to place an Architectural Technician within a property developers Tunbridge Wells office. The firm has won over 100 awards from the UK Property Awards, International Property Awards, and the National House Building Council for both single-unit projects, large scale developments and multi-storey residential projects.
The firm has a need for an Architectural Technician for their Tunbridge Wells office to work on a range of new developments within the South-East. Ideally, you will have previous experience of development projects (single-unit and large-scale developments) but more important is your ability to produce plans in AutoCAD and knowledge of relevant Building Regulations. This is a technical post and is suited to someone with technical capabilities.
You may currently work for a developer and are looking for a new opportunity, or you may work in an Architectural setting and have regular work contracted by developers. Ideally, you will also have relevant education in the industry, as well as membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (TCIAT or MCIAT).
You will work alongside the developers in-house Architects, Structural Engineers, Building Services Engineers, other Technician, Site Agents and others to produce high-quality and detailed plans, conduct site surveys/defect reports and maintain legal plans in relation to sales. Depending on your experience level, you may manage your own staff or train Junior Technicians.
In a time when we are constantly reminded of housing shortages, this would be a good opportunity for someone to make a difference on a large scale in an expanding market. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a nation-wide developer with excellent credentials that rewards hard work. The work is challenging and fast paced, but incredibly rewarding for those with the right skillset.
