To be suitable for the position you must have;

• 7-10 years work experience in the rail sector
• Strong working knowledge of railway lineside structures such as signal gantry, signal post, REBs, LOCs, steel footbridge, concrete foundations, piled foundations
• Proficient in Bentley MicroStation (2D/3D) and Autodesk products
• Working experience in Tekla Steel and RC for fabrication production
• Competent in structuring CAD designs and producing with support CAD based deliverables with the correct level of detail for the required stage of design. This could be feasibility through to detailed design in accordance with Network Rail process and standards
• Experience of using Data Management Systems and can comply with the system standards
• Experience of multi-disciplinary design coordination using CAD tools and with support can integrate other designs into their own
• Knowledge of CDM regulations.

Role Information;

• Manage CAD resources and workload, train other staff members on the use of CAD software such as MicroStation and Tekla by means of individual coaching group training courses as appropriate
• Liaise with colleagues, other departments and project teams with respect to drawing requirements
• Management and coordinator of CAD information
• Assist with collating project documentation
• Ensure that all designs meet the required project specification and all standards
• Present working designs for use throughout the project including tender, construction and installation
• Comply with varying CAD standards ensuring all deliverables are compliant
• Provide any relevant technical support
• Assist with any CAD reporting tasks
