CAD Technician / Rail Infrastructure sector / Up to £250 per day / York

I am currently working with a diverse business with an outstanding project portfolio, offering innovative engineering solutions. Right now, they have an opportunity for a CAD Technician to join their team in York. This role comes with flexible working and an excellent range of benefits.

As CAD Technician, working with a team of skilled Engineers, you will have the chance to take responsibility for the production of CAD models and drawings, ensuring the compatibility of your models with those of disciplines working alongside you, and contribute towards the solutions to technical problems.

You will be based in the York office as part of a 14 strong team with a mixture of seniors, engineers, and technicians. The team is currently delivering projects into the rail and energy from waste sectors.

The role will be supporting engineers in the design of building services in accordance with clients' requirements through the production of compliant models, schematics and general arrangements drawings.

Key skills needed –

• BTEC NC in related discipline or other suitable qualifications.
• Extensive experience in the production of 2D and 3D building services drawings and models. using Microstation Bentley software.
• Proven record of working to client CAD standards.
• Previous Railway project experience.
• Enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach to work in a busy design office environment.
• Experience in the use of 3D modelling software including AECOsim and/or RevitMEP.
• Knowledge of BIM practices including use of common data environments including projectwise.
