CAD Technician
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (Company Vehicle and Equipment Supplied)

My client currently has an opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician having won a lot of work in the London area. As a CAD Technician, the ideal candidate will have real passion for surveying and a great attention detail.
As CAD Technician, your key responsibilities and duties will include:
- Be a key member of the CAD team as part of a design group working within rail
- Provide a CAD service to our customers that excels by delivering first class service delivery
- Prepare complex drawings for engineering projects
- Promote and achieve Perfect Delivery throughout the team
- Work closely with the design teams to deliver safe, efficient and buildable solutions.
- Ensure that all designs are prepared in line with current health and safety applicable legislation and standards and compliant with CDM requirements
- Be responsible for the production new and development of existing drawings in accordance with both company and client standards and procedures
- Perform CAD drawing and system checks on fellow colleagues work providing feedback on errors / weak spots to allow others to grow and improve
- Follow the guide lines as set out in the CAD standards manual and offering continual development suggestions on improvements to the system
- Support and manage the workload of junior members of the CAD Team giving training and advice to help develop their potential

- Knowledge of CAD systems and standards
- Experience with civil AutoCAD drawing production and Micro stations
- Skill in updating, maintaining, operating and evaluating all AutoCAD software and related equipment
- Ability to operate, access, and maintain diverse software applications
- Previous Rail based experience/site experience
