My client are a leading turnkey contractor providing design, construction and operation and maintenance services to both public and private sector clients in the water and wastewater treatment sector.
They have an immediate requirement for CAD Technicians to join their design team to work on a number of major infrastructures and industrial projects. The position will be based in Dublin with occasional requirements to visit client sites around Ireland.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
To produce 2D and 3D mechanical general arrangement, schematic and P&ID drawings for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations using AutoCAD software.
Surveying of existing sites in order to generate 2D and 3D drawings.
Ensure that drawings and designs meet internal, client and industry standards
Liaise with design engineers, the project engineering team and technology providers to develop design drawings and provide support to site installation teams.
Assist and/or lead in the control of documentation for the department in accordance with company procedures.
Essential Attributes
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a CAD Technician in a relevant mechanical design field.
Proficiency in the generation of 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Strong IT skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to solve problems and co-ordination issues.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to prioritise and plan workload efficiently and work without the need for excessive supervision.
Non-EU citizens must hold a valid work permit entitling them to take up full time employment within the EU.
