Senior CAD Technician (Bridges)

Location: York

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Do you have experience of CAD drawing, within bridge design? I have an immediate opportunity to get involved in some long-term exciting and rewarding projects.

You will work from home and be supported through the COVID19 crisis.

The client

A huge consultancy with a range of major infrastructure projects in the UK, you will be joining a supportive company that seeks to look after and develop its employees.

The role

As a Senior CAD technician, you will join the bridges engineering team and take responsibility for the production of bridge drawings and models. Including production of detailed steelwork repair, strengthening or replacement drawings, and concrete detailing.

The role will also involve the development and mentoring of junior CAD staff and ideally you will be a Technician who really understands the engineering process and can bridge the gap between process and the delivery.

The project will largely be focused on Railway bridges throughout the CP6 period.

Skills and experiences

A depth of knowledge within CAD systems – eg AutoCAD

Knowledge of Bridge Design

Capable of directing and leading

What next?

This is a permanent position with an asap start, you will be interviewed remotely and if successful all the equipment will be provided for you to be able to be inducted and work from home. Looking into the future, you will eventually be working from an office in York and so must be able to commute their easily.
