Electrical CAD Designer - Rolling Stock

Servicing clients from major operators to niche suppliers they boast an extensive array of industry experts with in depth knowledge across a variety of engineering disciplines. This is a contract opportunity offering an excellent hourly rate.
You will be tasked to support the Engineering Design team responsible for supporting the technical delivery for rolling stock design projects. Working on major rolling stock modification projects you will undertake and deliver on train engineering design projects for both electrical and mechanical projects including 2D AND 3D CAD modelling. Working with clients to understand their ultimate objectives for each project you will form part of the team delivering work packages to time and budget.

Requirements for the role are:
CAD experience within a Rail environment
Engineering Qualifications HND or above
Solidworks/Microstation experience

Strong Experience in one or more of:
Electrical Schematics
Wiring diagrams
Electrical installation design
Cable and conduit installations
Electrical train systems (PIS, CCTV etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively.

To be considered for the role of the Electrical CAD Designer role candidates will ideally be an have experience with Solidworks and have worked in a rail/rolling stock environment.
