Job title: Maintenance Control Room Technician - Rail Operations
Job location: London
Salary: £50-60k DOE + Overtime + Benefits
We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Control Room Technician to join a busy London rolling stock company. In the role you will be the first technical interface working with First Line Response Technicians, Rolling Stock Team Leaders and Control Centre Staff.
You will provide advice on the 'cut and run' procedure or any repairs of vehicle to minimise effects of delays, lost departures and journey time losses.
Ensuring RS faults are efficiently and correctly identified, prioritised and escalated accordingly.
Initiate Incident Management
Advise what priority level a service incident/failure must be classified.
Monitor the Remote Monitoring System (RMS) to provide a proactive approach to in service advice, dispatching roaming FLRTS Directly or depot FLRTS via the FLRT Team Leader when practical and advising CCS/CCC/CCDM and any other relevant stake holders.
Person Profile
A strong rolling stock technical engineer ideally however we will consider applications from a rail operations or rail infrastructure background.
*Excellent problem solving skills.
*Thorough, persuasive and professional approach.
*Can communicate effectively and using technical terminology
*Flexibility to meet requirements of shift workers with a 24/7 roster pattern.
*Excellent Organisation skills.
*Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
*Experience of working in fault rectification / maintenance environment.
*Ideally a minimum of City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
*An appreciation of all disciplines (Rolling Stock / Signalling / Track / Electrification).
*2 years 'in service' failures experience.
*Knowledge of railway operational issues.
*Experience with Asset Management systems is beneficial.
