Job title: Out-Stations Technician - Rolling Stock
Job location: Birmingham
Salary: Circa £44k
Hours: 3 shift pattern; minimum of 37.5 hour per week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced rolling stock engineer to join a busy train maintenance team offering out stations support.
This opportunity would be perfect for an experienced engineer that is looking for a role offering variety, technical challenges and responsibility who is confident with lone working.
It has excellent progression routes and working closely with train control and the wider operations and engineering teams you will have the chance to utilise and develop skills within communication, technical reporting, advanced fault find, data analysis and decision making. You can also expand your knowledge of train operations, reactive and preventative maintenance and train control. This could open the doors for career advancement opportunities within the maintenance control unit, operations support, technical engineering support or even maintenance/production management.
Person Requirements:
You will be very technically minded and have experience within fault find for rail vehicles.
Minimum of level 3 Engineering qualification
Ideally you will have worked with both EMUs and DMUs
Must be flexible to work Shifts
Must have a valid driving licence
