Technician - Rolling Stock - Nottingham
Contract Role - 6 Months initially
Rate - £19.97 per hour (Limited Company or Umbrella Company)

My Client, a market leader within the rail industry, is currently looking to recruit a Technician to join an existing team and perform a variety of duties including fault finding and maintenance.

The successful candidate will be required to work on shifts, including nights, at a Nottingham depot. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of carrying out fault finding / diagnostic work / component replacement on rolling stock and will be electrically biased, with strong mechanical skills.

Responsibilities:

* Work as part of maintenance team, carrying out a variety of duties as required
* Liaise with NTL, i.e. Control Room if organising Tram movements in Depot etc.
* Troubleshooting of tram defects
* To ensure accuracy of the documented reports
* To ensure that your activities are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety practices, policies and procedures, and that safety-critical work regulations and legal requirements are adhered to;
* To manage your time effectively in order to fulfil all operational responsibilities

Experience / Educational Requirements:

* Qualification in Electrical Engineering - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Experience of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
* Experience working within a rolling stock maintenance environment
* Experience of fault finding on rolling stock using a laptop is preferred but not essential
* History of work in a process/production environment preferable
* Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable
