The Track & Systems CAD Technician will support the Track & Systems Technical Discipline Lead in activities for Egis Rail UK and support other EGIS subsidiaries as directed.

Missions & Main activities
We are currently expanding in the UK and Ireland, growing our business and our team. One of the exciting projects the GIS Technician will work on relates to the execution of the Birmingham tramway network extension contract. The aim of this once-renewable five-year contract is to construct 4 km of new line in the coming three years (three extensions) and an additional 15 km in the following five years (one additional lines).
The role of Egis Rail is included in a partnership agreement called "The Midland Metro Alliance" which brings together the Prime Contractor, the Construction Consortium and the Engineering Office.
The Track & Systems CAD Technician will work closely with Egis Rail UK and other Egis subsidiaries. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design of railway alignment, trackform and ducting route.
The role will also play a key role in the design of tram systems discipline (Telecoms, Power Supply, Signalling, Interface Management,…); The Track & Systems CAD Technician will work closely with engineers and discipline leads to deliver an integrated design. In addition you will be supervising and preparing CAD models, drawings and deliverables
You will have:
• Educated to Degree level in a related Degree course
• Knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Experience of working in the railway sector;
• Experience of working in a BIM environment;
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, Revit or PRT will be considered a plus;
• Knowledge and experience of the Network Rail standards and processes will be considered a plus;
• Notions or knowledge of French will be considered a plus
• Experience of supporting organisation to build and grow successfully
