We are currently dealing with a multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Consultancy who are searching for an Associate Civil Engineer to join their team in the Derby Region. In the role, you will be expected to lead and develop the civil engineering design team. 

The team predominantly undertakes pre-planning engineering studies, designs adoptable highway and drainage works (involving SuDS), and private civil engineering works using MicroDrainage and PDS, with final deliverables been produced in AutoCAD.

You will be expected to be a Chartered engineer with a proven track-record of leadership, and must have experience of providing technical reviews and must demonstrate workable design-software knowledge. You will be expected to communicate with other teams and liaise with clients to ensure financial consistency across the company. Furthermore, you will have financial oversight of personal, as well as team-schemes.

In the Associate position, you will also be responsible for all design procedures, including the determination of design standards, sharing of design knowledge, and the deliverable outputs. You will also be expected to input into resource management, communicating with other teams and attending Management Board meeting to ensure consistency and financial stability across the teams.

Job Description:

• Provide leadership to one of the companys branches
• Provide mentorship to develop engineers
• Be confident in using design software, including MicroDrainage, PDS & AutoCAD
• Civils3D usage would be beneficial
• Have an awareness of potential clients and business development
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction health and safety is essential
• Be experienced in overseeing projects from inception through to completion
