My client are currently looking for a Civils Architecture Assistant to join them on a contract basis, working out of Canary Wharf. In the role, you will be required to support activities leading to maintenance readiness for the handover of the project over the coming months. You will also be required to assist Maintenance Engineers in reviewing O&M documentation and ensuring as built information, asset data and spares is to the required quality and format at acceptance.
Main Challenges:
- Review of O&M documentation with verification of Asset information, Drawings and Data where needed, may require site based verification and compliance check activities.
- Timely review of O&M and T&C information
- Ensuring the Attributes and related asset data is valid for the asset and as built drawings available for Civils and Premises give clear asset boundaries and interface.
- Working with multiple stakeholders and different organisations.
- Achieving programme delivery to challenging timescales.
- Adapting to strategic needs and competing priorities.
About You:
- Experience in Civils and Premises (Architectural) Assets and the necessary maintenance requirements ideally in Railway environment.
- Experience in Design Review and Acceptance is highly desirable.
- Have good understanding about Project lifecycle and working knowledge of Project handover documentation production / review.
- Good understanding of Handover Process, Asset Information (O&Ms, Asset Data) would be desirable
- Able to understand complex and wide range of asset information including as built drawings, picking up information required for O&M accurately giving attention to detail.
- An awareness of Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality practices as applicable to a rail environment.
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Able to work using own initiative and manage own workload.
- Confident and professional in face-to-face, phone, email and web communications.
- High level of computer literacy, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of documentation management systems.
- Experience of working in a railway maintenance environment would be advantageous.
