An established civil engineering main contractor who is heavily engaged on a variety of major Rail civil engineering development programmes currently have an opportunity for an experienced Section Engineer with a valid PTS and CSCS to join their project team based in South West and Wales.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Construction Management team and working closely with a counterpart, you the PTS Section Engineer will be responsible for the control, coordination and supervision of varied sections of works and accountable for controlling the technical aspects on-site delivery, including;

*Review and production of method statements, ITP s and risk assessments
*Assisting with the planning and programming of works
*Resolving technical issues
*Reading and interpreting drawings and requesting further information of clarity where required
*Supervising and control of sub-contractor and direct labour and will be invited to liaise with client s representatives.

As the PTS Section Engineer, you will need to produce and upkeep of site diaries, QA, As Built and Health and Safety. You will need to attend progress meetings and assist in the production of progress reports together with overseeing and sometimes conducting Setting-out procedures where required.

Requirements, for this PTS Section Engineers position are details below:

* Will hold a valid PTS and CSCS card or equivalent
* Will have strong Setting-out and Site Survey working experience and appreciation
* Will have supervisory / team leading and mentoring skills
* Working knowledge and experience of Temporary Works Coordination
* Strong working Heath, Safety and Quality appreciation
* Able to effectively read and interoperate technical drawings
* Able to effectively assist in the plans and scoping of work
* Will have past experience working within Rail civils construction, ideally working on OLE Project consisting of; Route works, Bases and Foundations, Trial holes, etc.
