We are currently working with a leading contractor whom are looking to expand their design office within York by recruiting a Principal Civil Engineer. This is great opportunity to join an ever-growing Civils teams working on major Civils projects within the Rail environment. You will be sitting between the Design Engineering Manager and the Engineers offering technical design guidance and advice to the junior Engineers, and supporting the Engineering Manager in running the team. We are looking for a candidate whom is experienced Civil Engineer, but whom has also has worked on, or had exposure on, Geotechnical projects such as retaining walls, or embankments, but please note this isnt a Geotechnical Engineering position and is a Civil Engineering role.

 

Job Requirements

• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer
• Experience working within Civil Design environment, for either a contractor or consultancy
• Rail project experience
• Experience mentoring Junior Engineers
• Experience in, or similar FEM software to Superstress, STAAD, WALLAP, TEDDS
