Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
For this role you must possess the following;
Essential requirements:
- Have five years relevant experience.
- Worked as a CRE previously
Desirable:
- Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have a degree in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering.
The Role
As the Rail Civil CRE / Temporary Work Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and temporary works on this £30m North East Rail Project. You will have previous experience working in a similar role within programmes from a civils aspect. This role would suit an existing CRE engineer within the rail civil environment.
Duties
- Working with my delivery team and in close liaison with the clients project delivery team
- Involvement in all stages on the project ensuring all projects are delivered in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Meeting with clients and subcontractors
- Plane and coordinate designs
- Procure and oversee sub-contract services,
- Manage the design process
- Prepare, review, comment and accept all site documentation as required to meet with contract requirements.
- Develop and adapt the project technical instructions for Civil Engineering to enable the project methodology and installation activities to be undertaken in an efficient and safe manner.
- Ensure that the risk assessment and mitigation plan is adhered to so technical risks are managed effectively.
- Undertake design reviews to ensure that Design is delivered to programme and the output is compliant with defined scope and applicable standards.
- Ensure integration of design, installation and commissioning activities and that the end product meets client specification.
- Support Project team with tendering activities ensuring the quality of estimates, Civil Engineering implementation strategies and methodologies are robust, constructible and cost effective.
