Due to some very successful bids we have multiple, high profile pieces of work to deliver for various clients across the UK. We are looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer to work from our Glasgow office. We do have some flexibility around location. This is a full time, permanent role overseeing various technical aspects of rail projects.

This role will oversee the civils rail design work for multiple projects and requires a candidate confident in their ability across all stages of the design process from feasibility to construction. You will be able to assist others in their work while finding and correcting any issues. The role will involve carrying out the duties of Contractor's Responsible Engineer. You will have a strong technical civil or structural background with relevant rail experience.

Job Responsibilities
• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
• Provides specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Civil/Structural engineering
• Relevant experience in rail

Preferred Requirements

• Ideally you will be chartered with ICE or ISTRUCTE
