Senior Civil Water Engineer

We are currently dealing with a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm who are searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Water Team in Belfast.

The Water Team works across a range of projects, which would include water pipelines and stations in Northern Ireland, large Wastewater treatment facilities in Scotland and utility diversion works on HS2.
The successful candidate must have a technical background in Water and Wastewater, and would have motivations to lead projects within a growing team. Part of project management would include the delivery and development of projects, business planning, or detailed design. You would also be expected to help coordinate projects across the other offices within Ireland and the UK.

You will be responsible for the delivery of Water and Wastewater projects, from initial business planning through to design, development and delivery. You will be responsible for undertaking the design stages and coordinating a team to help manage the workload of detailed design of pumping stations, pipelines, service reservoirs and water/wastewater treatment works. This role will include some administrative aspects too, which entail construction stage project management, monitoring progress against programme, and assessing costs for work completed.

Job Specification:

- Over 6 years experience
- Be Chartered
- Previous experience in technical delivery of Water & Wastewater projects
- Having a broader civil engineering experience in the public realm or surface water management is beneficial
- Experience in using Water Modelling/Drainage Software
