A leading Civils Engineering organisation have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and thorough Rail Civils and Civils infrastructure Senior Project Engineer, to join their project engineering delivery team and lead on the implementation of delivery for varied high valued development and upgrade programmes in-line with the upgrade and modernisation of our national Railway infrastructure.

Our client has multiple requirements for the right Senior Project Engineers all on Permanent basis. These requirements are Permanent and to be based predominantly within the Oxfordshire area.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Management Engineering team, you the Senior Project Engineers will be responsible for managing the affective planning and engineering activities of varied high level civil programmes for Rail, but will interface with Highways also!

As the Senior Project Engineer for P-Way you will be the strong technical lead and therefore accountable for identifying and resolving technical issues, reading and interpreting Engineering drawings to be able to effectively create credible scoping plans to work towards and to be able to accept design documentations whilst assessing what Construction / Engineering techniques need to be utilised.

Being one of the Senior Project Engineers, you will manage the carrying out of varied surveys, liaising with the client s representatives, delivery partners and key stake holders alike. You will produce and review method statements, RFI s and Risk Assessments and monitor QA and health and safety. You will be present in all progress meetings and collaboratively contribute to project production plans of progress reports.

Requirements:

It is envisaged that the successful Senior Project Engineer for Rail Civils and Civil Infrastructure, will be degree qualified or equivalent within a Civils Engineering discipline and possess a strong work history in successfully and effectively delivering Rail Civils and Highways renewals, upgrades, installations and development projects consisting of a high value budget.

• You will have strong planning experience with the ability to competently implement required delivery out-put during pre-construction phases
• Competent with regards to overall planning, site set-ups, survey and design review
• Good working Civils knowledge with the proven experience of being a Technical Project Lead with the ability to overcome technical delivery issues coupled with being professionally safety aware
• Confidence within sub-contractor management and control, conducting reviews and audits, progress monitoring and quality checks experience
• To be a strong team lead, motivator, driver and mentor of others

Being the appointed Senior Civil Engineer you will possess strong working appreciation and knowledge gained within NWR infrastructure, therefore will have strong understanding of related policies and procedures and expectations of delivery.
