Engineering is at the heart of Metrolink’s plans and this role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a complex and challenging environment where you will have the chance to grow and build upon your existing knowledge and experience to really make a difference to the travelling public.

As a Metrolink Track/Civil engineer with Transport for Greater Manchester you will join our Engineering team overseeing the maintenance, renewal and enhancement of the important Track & Civil assets across the Metrolink network. These assets are critical to the safe and reliable service that Metrolink provide and you will have the opportunity to ensure that these assets are the best in the industry!

You will have a strong engineering background, with the ability to get the best results from our suppliers and contractors and have considerable experience in a rail related environment of which a substantial time has been spent within a maintenance discipline.

You will also have experience in either the transport or other industries of managing track/civil engineering assets and systems including track, switches & crossings, structures, tunnels, buildings, earthworks and drainage.
