Commercial Manager, Rail

Our client is a rail systems integrator who operate on Mainline, Underground and Light Rail projects.

At present the focus of their operation is primarily on maintenance contracts, however are currently building their team to accommodate design and build capability based upon client request.

The commercial manager position will be responsible for 3 business verticals with a combined project portfolio of approximately £30m. These contracts are primarily NEC, and consist of multiple Mainline, Underground and light rail projects. These, in the main are multiple lower value contracts.

The role will be to take full commercial management and will have 5 direct reports, consisting of 3 QSs and 2 junior QSs. At present our client our building the team and if possible would like to allow the Commercial Manager to help build the team.

Our client's ambition is to reach £50m in combined projects by the end of 2019, and believe this is achievable based upon the volume of work they are currently turning away.

Candidates must be a qualified QS and ideally a RIBA member
