A Commercial Manager is required for our major rail infrastructure management client, based in their Central Birmingham office. This is a contract role, covering maternity running initially until end January 2019.
This is a post-contract commercial management role, ensuring cost reporting is completed, contractor applications are reviewed and approved, reviewing contractor delivery, advising on commercial matters where necessary plus other associated duties. There will be some analysis for the Strategic Sourcing Function procurement team.
You will have a proven background in commercial management in the rail or construction sectors. Good knowledge of construction forms of contract such as NEC3 would be required. Excellent reporting, negotiation and communication skills are a must for this position.
This role is for a publicly funded organisation, so has been determined Inside IR35 for Limited Company contractors.
