Position: Commercial Manager

Role

To act as a Commercial Manager on various Signal, Power and Telecommunications contracts within Mainline and Light Rail Industry throughout the UK. Managing a commercial team to ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled. Cost control, monthly reporting to both client and internal, experience in change management, team management and engagement across the whole delivery unit. Directly reporting to the head of commercial. Ensuring all Projects are successfully delivered within cost and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Excellent communication and customer facing skills
• Working as part of a team promoting our company culture and values.
• Participate in collaborative multi-disciplinary planning meetings.
• Review draft schedules for variations to contracted scope.
• Reviewing all tender documentation to ensure consistency and compatibility with contractual and project requirements.
• Commercial management of significant subcontract packages through to final certification including change control and management.
• Budget setting, forecasting and reporting.
• Monitor and actively manage and mitigate work package risks
• Establish and maintain interfaces with key stakeholders. Eg: finance, project management, engineering, sub-contractors, suppliers and client

Required qualifications, skills, behaviours and attributes

• Experience working within a contractor side project environment (essential)
• Quantity Surveying accredited Degree (or equivalent)
• Full Membership of RICS or CICES (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable legal, contractual and construction knowledge and experience
• Experience in implementing and delivering strategic objectives and associated change programmes
• Good Contractual knowledge and experience (essential)
• Confident and able to deal externally and internally at all levels (essential)
