Rail - Compliance Manager – London – Competitive DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a compliance and assurance regime that meets legislative and business needs that ensures that the cost, performance and risk can be handled effectively
• Responsible for the effective management of company stakeholders and for undertaking incident / accident reviews relating to rail assets and processes and implement recommendations with stakeholders
• Act as the focal point of contact with external rail parties (e.g. Network Rail, ORR, RSSB)
• Ensuring effective responses are defined and implemented to support the business, from employee shortage, supplier issues, equipment loss to major outage, to ensure operational impacts are minimised
• Support and advise the asset managers in developing, implementing and continually improving their processes and procedures to support compliance
• Ensure all policies are functional and meet company and industry standards and legislations

Personal Profile

• An engineering degree or equivalent demonstrable experience
• A good level of experience working in the rail industry at a senior level
• Strong understanding of quality and accreditation systems
• Experience in creating, maintaining and updating policies and procedures to drive forward company improvements
• A professional qualification in HSQE, IOSH discipline or similar
• Strong interpersonal, written, presenting and spoken communication skills
• An understanding and experience of quality and risk management

The role is based in West London, and the salary offered is competitive for market rate, and is dependent on experience.
