Assistant Construction Planner
Purpose of the role
To assist the Construction Manager in all aspects of OHL construction Planning and Resourcing.
What will this role involve?
- To assist with the construction, planning and resourcing on all OLE construction works
- To assist in the control of management of works through price and programme
- Assist in preparing working schedules and rosters
- Ensure the day to day running of the OHLE department complies with Amey Rail Ltd Quality Management System and all Network Rail rules and regulations.
- To assist ensure that all OHLE department staff are issued with adequate PPE, Training and any relevant updates and briefings as necessary.
- Ensure that the OHLE department complies with all statutory and Network Rail rules and regulations with regard to hours worked, drugs and alcohol and medical fitness policies.
- Assist with the Safe System of Work Planning
- Develop site specific method statements and task briefs and help develop Work Package Plans
- Develop client relationships and business connections
- Manage work contracts, eg subcontractors
- Ensure client satisfaction with the service provided
- Collate relevant paperwork and store on the Amey server
- Ensure that only competent and fully certificated staff are used for duties on and off the railway infrastructure
- Carry out any other duties deemed to be within your competence to assist the smooth running of the department
- Attend meet and greet process as per Amey policy for delivery of machinery to and from site
- Supervise site walkouts where applicable
