Bridge Construction Specialist (Concrete): Bangladesh

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced 'Hands on' Bridge Construction Specialist for an on going high profile bridge project, which includes a number of 'world firsts' in Bangladesh.

Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a ground-breaking project that includes many elements of cutting edge technology and techniques and play a key role in the successful delivery. The project is likely to be completed by June 2021. The project is being supervised by a joint venture consisting of a number of international firms complimented by local organisations.

Due to the complex nature of the project the successful engineer shall have access to not only gain new skills due to the methods being deployed but also have the opportunity to develop experience with different elements and roles of the construction process.

Conditions on site are exceptional with purpose built facilities to international standards.

Responsibilities:

The Construction specialist shall be largely site based (maybe as much as 80% of the time) where he/ she shall be responsible for supervising the contractors during the construction phase. Elements which they shall be supervising include Pre-Cast and Pre-Stressed (Pre & Post Tensions) Concrete elements. You shall be working closely with a structural specialist who shall handle the steel elements.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Bridge construction projects
• Experience of Managing Chinese contractors.
• Previous developing world experience (ideally South, South East Asia or Africa)
• Willingness to be site based and 'hands on'
• Physically fit.

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is flexible depending on experience but shall be around $15,000 per month tax free and shall also include accommodation, flights, and married status.
