Office administrator required to join a large high profile highways contractor to be based oin Head Office in Essex

Rate varies between £20k-£27k depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- Providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact for the business
- Support the company directors as required including diary bookings, organising travel, taking meeting minutes, collating reports, maintaining office supplies, making refreshments
- Provide adhoc administrative support to all the teams
- Monitor all incoming calls dealing with all enquiries in an efficient and proactive manner
- Maintain a sufficient stock of general stationery and other supplies, re-ordering as necessary
- Process incoming and outgoing post, ensuring that the franking machine has sufficient credit
- Manage the meeting room booking system, arrange lunch and refreshments as required, ensure the rooms are kept tidy
- Ensure that all H&S checks are completed including electrical and legionella testing, maintaining an office H&S file with key documents such as certificates and risk assessments
- Update staff with general information via emails and notice boards
- Manage the booking system for the office pool car and parking spaces
Successful candidates must have:
- Previous experience working on site or in a project office
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word
- The ability to multitask
- Good attention to detail
It is essential that candidates have a strong site administration and construction background to be shortlisted for the role as limited training is provided and you will need to hit the ground running.
