Location: Birmingham
Rate: £30-£55
Start date: 16/10/2017
Duration: 1 year minimum
I am looking to place a Transport Planner on a contract basis in an international consultancys Birmingham office. The role is set to last a minimum of a year, with options to extend depending on performance, with the firm offering between £30 and £55 per hour, depending on experience.
The role is primarily to conduct Macro Planning on Rail-related transportation projects i.e. HS2 associated works. The firm has an ongoing 10-year contract with HS2 so there is the potential to remain in the same role for an extended period. Candidates will be familiar with macro-planning transportation software such as VISUM or SATURN, or similar. Those who are a member of a relevant professional body such as the CIHT or hold the TPP qualification are highly desirable.
The firm also has ongoing relationships with numerous government bodies such as Highways England, Transport for London and various local councils. As such, anyone with experience of non-rail transport planning on top of rail-related experience would still have valuable experience. For instance, any candidates with experience of WebTAG, Highways England or TfL procedures would be of interest.
