Contracts Administrator in Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
Our client a globally renowned Consultancy Group is seeking an ambitious Contracts Administrator to work in their regional office on the Herts/Essex border where you will be supporting the various teams primarily working on aviation projects.
The Contracts Administrator will be required to work as part of the Cost & Commercial team to undertake Contract Administration duties, which will enable effective management and delivery of the programme and its sub-packages.
The Cost Administrator will perform the following duties;
Contract communications, including Instructions, Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and the like and producing associated contract administration reporting
Tracking and managing contract changes in line with the Programme Management Office (PMO) processes including application of the internal Change Proposal Forms (CPFs)
Ensuring that the necessary CPF approvals are in place in order to ensure that Client required changes are adequately supported for governance and assurance purposes
Chairing and providing minutes for Contract Administration meetings, Early Warning and Risk Reduction meetings and other meeting required in order to administer contracts
Reviewing Payment Applications, and ensuring that Valuations and Certificates are prepared as necessary
Preparing cashflow forecasts and reconciling with budgets for the purposes of funding applications
Ensuring that the review of programmes by the PMO meets the contract requirements
Ensuring the work of Supervisors is properly actioned in accordance with the contract
Participating in and actioning the outcomes of financial audits
Reporting to Senior PMO team members and/or clients and stakeholders
Producing and Managing Contract cost for reporting and performance reporting
Provide advice to colleagues and / or the PMO and project team on contract related matters
Present any project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted
Liaising with external contractors and consultants, project team, Programme Management Office, Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, Cost and Commercial Managers, Client Team members, etc.
Use own knowledge and experience, combined with research of industry best practice, to analyse existing processes and policies and both suggest and implement improvements
Manage relationships and collaborate with clients and external stakeholders, in order to ensure client satisfaction
Candidates should have the following skills/experience;
* Procurement knowledge of construction contracts under a Principal Contractor, Designer or Consultant delivery approach.
* Knowledge of NEC form of contract and the ability to manage contract administration, including contract communications, change control, variation/compensation event assessment, valuation/certification; contract remedies and contract close.
* Working knowledge of MS Project and assessment methodologies of Contractors Programmes.
* Experienced in Monthly Cost Reporting and cost control against budget.
* An ability to develop bottom up estimates to negotiate and assure change management valuations.
* Detailed project management knowledge including programme and project management methods and practices to manage and resolve threats to delivery.
* Proven experience of managing complex customer and supplier relationships and expectations in a projects environment.
* Capable of taking a project through from inception to completion (essential)
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (essential)
* Relevant professional qualification or chartered status (essential)
