Contracts Assistant
Applications are invited for the position of Contracts Assistant. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will report to the Contracts Manager.
The purpose of this role is to assist with the delivery of major contracts for key customers. The role will entail interaction with internal departments and the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Contracts Manager in delivering to customers' requirements.
This position is based in Manchester, though some travel to customer sites will be required.
Dimension of Job
- To understand and interpret customer requirements in terms of delivery requirements, costing and requested data.
- To manage the customer order book in an effective manner.
- To monitor stocks to ensure programmes are maintained.
- To liaise with internal departments throughout the programme to ensure information is shared and relationships are maintained.
- Attending customer review meetings.
- Attend internal meetings to assist in the effective running of the contract.
- Working in line with agreed KPI's.
- Order management within Epicor.
Principal Accountabilities
- Contribute to the on time delivery of wheelset overhauls to the customer base.
- Ensure all work is captured and commercialised to the customer.
- To proactively assist in working with internal departments in order to ensure on time customer deliveries.
- Timely management of any issues and appropriate communication.
- Build, maintain and improve relationships internally.
- Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to deliver customer requirements.
Competencies, Skills & Experience
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in account or contract management is preferred but not necessary.
- Basic industry/product knowledge.
- Self-driven and motivated.
- Strong team player.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure and to light timescales.
- Strong IT skills, MS office and ERP system.
