Contracts Engineer

Ford & Stanley Ltd the Rail Recruitment specialists currently have an intersting and unusual Contracts Engineer based role. Reporting to the Project Manager you will drive through quotation, set up, administration, time scale, invoice etc.

General Description:

• Lead and direct the Project Support Services teams to ensure that projects are correctly set-up, administered and invoiced.
• Ensure the project is correctly set-up on SAP, correctly administered, with key project information maintained in a retrievable format
• Project is correctly invoiced /issued and paid promptly.
• Provide both leadership and a point of escalation for the team whilst assuring flexibility of resources to accommodate both planned and unplanned absence.
• Assignment of projects amongst the team, giving heed to existing workloads and existing customer relationships.
• Ensure team members are competent with access to suitable resources and IT equipment to meet the day-to-day needs of the business.
• Define, implement and monitor relevant KPIs to promote improved process efficiency.
• Quote preparation and associated order processing in relation to spares.
• Maintenance of SAP data in respect of Customer orders and associated invoicing.
• Interfacing with OE Suppliers, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Finance and other client business divisions as appropriate.

Education & Personal attribute requirements:

• Leadership ability - able to communicate, motivate and manage workloads, to assure accurate reporting and effective invoicing.
• Knowledge of commercial contracts.
• At least 3 years ERP use; SAP preferred by not essential.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
