CONTRACTS MANAGER - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Contracts Manager currently required to join a leading Rail contractor in the North West to deliver existing work and future works in the North West region. The works will largely involve Civil Engineering and associated works. The contracts Manager should have suitable experience in a similar role for a medium sized contractor and have an excellent track record and a good relationship with the client Network Rail.

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering
• Experience of managing a number of Rail contracts and frameworks
• Project development experience
• Appointment and management of sub-contractors
• Excellent understanding of GRIP
• Client Management skills

Duties:

• Reporting to the rail director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a number of Rail projects, ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with specified timescales and design requirements
• Managing a framework of projects ensuring effective delivery
• Manage and maintain effective relationship with the client
• Management of costings and estimates ensuring commercial viability of each project
• Management of a number of site based delivery teams
• Design management
• Training and development
