Due to a period of extended growth, the opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, motivated and professional Contracts Manager to join a growing company in Kent.
The company specialises in structural steel fabrication, installation and architectural metalwork.
Main Duties And Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate the design, production and installation of large design and build steelwork projects
- Run a number of projects at the same time
- Fully understand the project requirements, scope of works, specifications etc.
- Develop and maintain proactive, positive and professional relationships with the client's representatives
- Produce project programmes
- Work with the Management Team to continually monitor contract performance against programme and budget and to take all necessary action to ensure all targets are met
- Manage a team of site operatives, oversee sub-contractors and arrange labour resources
- Ensure that group Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards are met and maintained
- Create Method Statements and Risk Assessments
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge and ability of reading drawings, connection details and specifications
- At least five years experience of running steelwork contracts
- Network Rail and London Underground contract experience would be very beneficial
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills
- Positive attitude to problems and dealing with staff at all levels
- Working knowledge and experience of contract Terms and Conditions
- Computer literate including MS Office
- Full driving licence.
