Working closely with the Procurement Team, the Contract Management Team is growing on this major civil engineering project, based in Central Birmingham. In state-of-the-art offices, you will be managing a portfolio of contracts that could be worth tens of millions. These are corporate contracts, so you wouldn't require construction background, just experience with a wide range of corporate contracts such as Government and PCR contracts.
You will be managing the relationship with stakeholders, managing change requests, managing formal disputes, compliance checks, contract management plans and other such key duties to ensure that contracts comply with statutory regulations and provide value for money.
Successful candidate will have contract management experience on the corporate realm, ideally with experience of public sector contracts. Excellent knowledge of procurement lifecycles, contract risk and performance monitoring is also required.
This role will require strong IT skills (MS Office, SAP etc.). This role also has some line management responsibility, so demonstrable experience of managing personnel would be desirable.
We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure. It is our policy that there should be equal opportunity for and no discrimination against applicants on the grounds of gender, race, religion or belief, nationality, colour, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marriage and civil partnership, union or non-union membership, socio-economic background or being a part-time or fixed term worker.
