Innovative and creative global engineering consultancy seeks to employ a dynamic rail engineering professional with current/previous experience in operations or engineering in a senior management opportunity. The highly rewarding role is an autonomous position which will see you spearhead the growth and development of their digital railway service offering in the UK and internationally. You will work underneath an entrepreneurial manager who will support you with your vision of how to grow the capability. Key responsibilities
- Developing key relationships with various clients in the UK and abroad
- To lead the development of its digital railway capabilities and its market facing offer.
- Lead business development in your service area and develop a long term pipeline of opportunities.
- Preparation of proposals and bid for work with both private and commercial clients
- To develop the strategy and service offering for Digital Rail
- To manage a portfolio of consulting projects to time, quality and cost targets.
- To lead specific consulting assignments of strategic importance to the business.
- To line manager a team of consultants (between 10 20 staff depending on the future organisation structure agreed)
- Observe and adhere to company quality, safety and project management requirements, as relevant to tasks undertaken
To be considered for this position candidates will ideally by Chartered or close to receiving Chartered status. You will have experience working in the UK rail industry and have a solid technical understanding of signalling systems (ERTMS, ETCS, CBTC). You will have the hunger to drive and grow a department and the ability to develop current/future client relationships.
