Monday to Friday – 40 Hours

We currently have a role for an innovative Depot Team Leader to manage a team of Maintenance Technician. Supporting our clients mission to provide a safe and dependable tram service, you will ensure our Maintenance Technicians deliver an effective, efficient and professional tram maintenance, repair and overhaul service of our rolling stock assets.

We are looking for a first-hand supervisor or team leader with experience in a multi-disciplinary maintenance environment. You will also ensure there is a culture of continuous improvement enhancing the performance and working environment in our Engineering Rolling Stock department.

Forward-thinking, you will also support preventative scheduled maintenance on the trams, including the delivery of production plans and reporting on performance. Maintenance on the trams includes mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

With the acquisition of additional fleet to support future network extensions, you will be key in supporting and integrating this project, therefore experience of working in a challenging environment is essential.

The role will require you to show experience of:

• Working in a safety critical environment
  • Planning and quality systems.
  • Maintenance management systems
  • Ensure clean and safe working conditions and equipment for maintenance staff
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Planner to ensure planned work is carried out

The Depot Team Leader is required to work on a 2 shift rota to ensure cover of all shift activities

Driving Licence is essential to supervise the safe, efficient and effective maintenance of a variety of electrical and mechanical systems incorporating communications, services, plant, rolling stock, equipment and buildings.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in heavy plant equipment maintenance position along with a recognised electrical or engineering qualification. You must have experience in managing and leading a team of technical staff and undertaking preventative and correct maintenance.
