Samuel Knight Rail are seeking to hire a Team Leader working on a new maintenance & overhaul contract opportunity in the North West of England. This will be working on a long-term stable contract, with a great opportunity to work in a multi-disicplinary contract - enhancing your skills & resume for future contracts.

Main responsibilities of the role are:

• Lead team of train refurbishment staff - demonstrating previous leadership experience.
• Managing a large team on a contract with more than 60 carriages
• Delivering contract work in an efficient manner while adhering and encoforcing safety processes
• Overseeing both internal and external refurbishment and modernisation
• Give team briefings at the beginning and end of each shift, including important safety information.
• When necessary take on the responsibility of Operations Manager
• Quality assurance and inspection
• If applicable, take part in shunting of trains

This role will operate a day shift pattern and there are no requirements to work overnight. There will be an average of 45 hours per week over a two week shift pattern.

We require a successful candidate to hold experience in a team leaders position previously, with a background in production & operations in a Rolling Stock environment.
