Job Summary

• Performs a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities.
• Duties may differ depending on the specialty area.
• Activities may include setting up and operating equipment; inspecting equipment; inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the building, repair, or maintenance of a structure or roadway.
• Relies on complete knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals.
• At this level, incumbents normally handle a wide range of relatively complex protocols; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience.
• Works under general supervision.

The Safe Work Leader 2 will

• Be responsible on site for task and operational safety of AECOM and subcontract staff safety
• Assist AECOM planning team through attendance at planning, PICOP and whiteboard meetings
• Manage AECOM worksites within possessions
• Be involved in the Safe Work Pack planning process as the Person In Charge (PIC)
• Carry out pre possession and line block site visits
• Represent expected AECOM safety behaviours on site and be a role model for all staff
• Ensure compliance with safe systems of work on site
• Ensure all personnel under your control are fully briefed and working in a safe manner
• Be prepared to travel and work anywhere in mainland UK (within reason)
