Your new role
The Head of Product & Service Quality will be the key person in charge to create and build the new operational quality team in Service & Maintenance. The role is permanent, based in our Central London office and will involve international travel.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Escalate and provide reports to senior management on cases of major Product Safety and Quality issues.
- Identify and promote quality improvement initiatives within Service & Maintenance depots and in any S&M Product & Service Quality contest.
- Assure the certification of train configuration status at the first authorisation to service (new fleets) and guarantees that “open issues” (pending NCR, Open Items, and Missing parts, pending Modifications) are allocated and managed.
- Guarantees the support to S&M Operations and Maintenance Engineering for fleet Mapping & Monitoring in case of repetitive components-subsystem-system defectiveness or systematic quality issues.
- Guarantees the support for ISO and ECM audit activities and related preventive/corrective actions follow up.
- Assures the proper management of depot Non-Conformities in coordination with all the involved functions:
- Assure the planning of regular depot “In Process” Checks on maintenance execution in order to verify the compliance to maintenance plan, internal procedures, competence management system and regulatory system.
- Assure the planning of regular depot “In Process Checks” to assure the monitoring of train conformity verification process with reference to train acceptance and maintenance execution risk assessment process (Concessions, deferred activities).
- Manages the Product & Service Quality KPI trend reporting and continuously promotes quality metrics optimization.
- Guarantee the support to S&M Operations and S&M Continuous Improvement for reporting.

Desirable
- Significant experience in managing a technical-quality team in a structured railway organization.
- Knowledge of Railway Maintenance Processes and UK Railway Regulations
Qualifications
Technical education and background (ideally Mechanical and/or Electrical)
