About the role/project:
To lead the management and implementation of the organisational strategy for implementation and maintenance of asset information business requirements, considering impacts on data requirements, business rules and system configuration for the effective exchange of asset information across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
What you will do:
Lead the definition and use of data specification and business rules for structured and unstructured data and implement assurance processes to meet business and safety requirements.
2. Establish and implement best practice for asset information business rules and requirements activities, in order that Network Rail asset information management solutions and processes meet the needs of the business as well as promoting Network Rail as market-leaders in the rail industry.
3. Establish and Chair business working groups to maintain relationships with key stakeholders who drive the definition and implementation of asset specifications and business rules for all asset data, systems and information exchange & reporting requirements.
4. Lead the analysis of business processes, including asset management, risks, maintenance, asset life cycle in the determination of asset information business rules requirements; assess stakeholder requirements in terms of cost, risk and benefit and their impact on the business.
5. Influence and challenge stakeholders around their definition, implementation and management of asset information business requirements and business rules, to enable a greater understanding of what sustainable impact this will have on organisational strategy and implementation.
6. Establishing the processes to enable the exchange of asset information to Network Rail and external stakeholders aligned to supplier framework contracts.
7. Business Systems Owner for the business rules tools & systems. Identify, develop and implement business systems improvement, initiatives with robust business cases.
8. Access appropriate levels of technical & Subject Matter expertise across the whole of Network Rail and the industry, to enable timely delivery of new and revised standards, processes and procedures.
9. Identify and evaluate new opportunities for Network Rail exchange of asset information solutions and processes
10. Identify and develop specific projects to improve asset information data requirements and business rules and configuration processes and systems
