We are currently looking for Design Engineers coming from either a Rail or Highway Bridge, Civil, Structural Design background to work for a major specialist Civil Engineering consultancy whom are working on vast amounts of Rail Civil Structural Schemes both in in the UK and overseas. The said consultancy are renowned for technical excellence and this would be based in St Albans branch. 

Typical projects that you would gain exposure would be design of new civil and structural engineering rail infrastructure in which recent projects include platform extensions, bridges, station buildings, retaining walls, culverts, drainage works, temporary works amongst other Structural Design schemes. 

This is a really exciting time to join this engineering team as they are growing their team and offer real growth within their organization.  This could be well suited to and Assistant Civil/Structural Design Engineer or and experienced Graduate Rail Civil or Structural Engineer looking to take that new step up into a Design Engineering position. 

Chartership would be supported, and there is a very successful Chartership programme in place.  

Job requirements

• An ability to work within design teams carrying out the design of railway structures.
• Experience of working within design teams in the design of railway, highway or other civil engineering structures will be ideally be required,
• An ability to design railway structures to Eurocodes, British Standards and railway group standards.
